“I WENT TO SEATTLE TO SEE A BEATLE. ALONG THE WAY, FOUND SOME SCORPIONS.” Ok, I’m still taking in what I experienced the other night. Hands down, I kid you not, one of my fav all-time concerts: @ringostarrmusic in a fairly intimate venue (for a Beatle, that is), @benaroyahall. Just hearing Ringo do his thing would be worth it alone. There’s only so much spotlight to go around, and when it’s shared with guys like John, Paul and George, it can be easy to ignore how awesome Ringo’s own catalog is (Yellow Submarine, With A Little Help, I wanna Be Your Man, Octopus’s Garden etc) and post-Beatles (start with “Back Off Boogaloo” if unfamiliar). Oh and did you know the first song I EVER learned on guitar was his Act Naturally? Yet what made the show next level was this: He could easily (and understandably) make the show just about him & the Fab 4. Yet you also get to hear Toto, Men at Work, Average White Band - several songs of each done by the main guys of each group, with Ringo adding his flair (continued in comments)... #ringostarr #scorpionsband #thebeatles
