Nettles and plant materials were taken from Highgrove and spun in a new technique and dyed with blackcurrant, beetroot and chlorella to form a nettle evening gown . Cellulose fibre taken from Highgrove was also made into an eco cocktail dress ( image 9 ) Waste nettles were also harvested from The Royal Parks, Kensington Palace and used in a new process for a dress. Other innovations in the show include the VIN + OMI Foundation's NETMORPH project to produce new microfibre bonded textile from salvaged fishing nets. A scheme piloted with UK fishermen.
