In the Transport Committee this morning, Steve Montgomery from the Rail Delivery Group confirmed RMT figure of £318 million for the cost to the taxpayer of indemnifying the TOCs and Ben Bradshaw MP pointed out that could have been used to fund pay rises for staff and avoid a damaging dispute.
