I had such a fun time exploring the colorful, quirky city of Fargo, North Dakota. I was blown away at all there is to do... from wineries (in ND!? I had no idea!) to a life size replica of a Viking ship, to vintage and boutique shopping- here’s my guide to having the perfect weekend in Fargo. Stay: @jasper.fargo is a chic and trendy hotel located right in the center of downtown. Walking distance to so many cafes, shops and restaurants. It’s the perfect location for a visit to Fargo. They have a sauna and beautiful gym, restaurant @rosewildfargo, and I loved the rooms. The floor to ceiling windows looking out over Fargo were my favorite! Eat: This area has deep Scandinavian roots and you can get some amazing food at @701eateries Prairie Kitchen where you can try Lafse, a traditional Norwegian flatbread, @portercreekhardwoodgrill has lovely back patio, and @brewhalla.fargo is a food hall and brewery with great local shops and outdoor areas- bonfires, lawn games! Drink: Did you know there are wineries in Fargo? I went to the beautiful @bearcreeknd and loved sipping rosé in their garden. @wildterrabar is a very cool cider bar. My favorite was the spicy mango cider. For coffee you have to check out @youngbloodcoffee. They roast their own beans and their seasonal drinks are amazing! They also serve a variety of toasts. Do: Learn about the Scandinavian culture at @hcscc_hjemkomst where you can see a replica of a Norwegian Viking ship and Norwegian stave church. Shop along the main street in downtown on Broadway. There are some great boutiques and vintage shops. @proper.shops and @shopthenines were two of my favorite boutiques. Check out the art exhibits at @plainsartmuseum and spot colorful street art all around downtown. I saw a concert at Bluestem Center for the Arts which is an outdoor amphitheater in the most gorgeous country setting.
