That's a wrap on our first ever "Paddle Tribal Waters" program. HUGE shout out to @jackson.kayak foundation for graciously donating X16 boats to the program as well as gear support from @wernerpaddles and @nrsweb As well, thanks to our donors and the grants we received to make this project a reality! The goal behind this program is to provide a space for indigenous youth to learn whitewater kayaking as well as river advocacy. The long term goal is for this particular group of students to lead the first source to sea trip down the Klamath once the dams are removed in 2024. We are making a film about the project and actively seeking support for the 501(c)(3) @riostorivers By supporting organizations like this you can help us diversify kayaking and help empower the next generation of indigenous kayakers and river stewards. Also, huge thanks to @paulrww & @westonboyles for enduring no shortage of Zoom calls with me this past year to help make it happen. And to all the awesome kids who attended the program! I’m looking forward to getting back on the river with ya’ll soon. 🙌🌊#paddletribalwaters Photos:// @paulrww @thenorthernyeti Additional support:// @worldclasskayakacademy @otterbarlodge @riverrootscrew
