Prince Be – the late co-founder, producer, and lead singer of PM Dawn – was one of the great record collectors of the 1990s, and a constant fixture at record shows, including the legendary Roosevelt Conventions in NYC. Be’s collection will be on sale at Rappcats this weekend, Saturday September 17. The sale is curated by Prince Be's longtime friend Georges Sulmers on behalf of Be's family. Be’s son Brandon: “Aside from his musical creations, my father’s record collection was his life’s work I feel my father looked at his collection as if it was his own personal time machine! I think he left his collection behind as a blueprint for my brother, sister and I to dive into our own taste and go on our own sound safaris.
