Would you agree that making a late take-off like the one on the first wave is among the highest skill level in surfing? How do you acquire this skill? Usually, there is only one way. Sack up and go, then take the beatings until you learn how. Without question, this is a dangerous way to learn. It's time-consuming and downright embarrassing if you're not a kid and have been surfing for a while. While I admire some people's courage, I also cringe seeing a surfer charging and not having the skill to make it. I know competent surfers who have been badly hurt, some paralyzed, so I don't recommend that approach. On the other hand, I understand you have to go for it to have fun, so what's the best thing to do? Well, if you know me or do Wave Ki, you know where I am going with this; Please learn the Wave Ki Take-off before hurling yourself over the ledge. Every detail is covered to make this skill automatic in your surfing. The story of the unsuccessful late take-off was a little more than 2 years ago over a sharp, shallow reef; At 54 years old, it looks painful, I know. However, I didn't get hurt or touch the bottom because I did everything right except one thing. That one thing is among many essential details highlighted in the Frontside Wave Ki Take-Off Form. Is there anything in surfing better than sticking a late drop?... Maybe the tube after that drop? Even then, it has to be a deep one to satisfy, ha! #Fortheloveofsurfing šŸŽ„ @carlocoral šŸ„šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø #bradgerlach edit @drumedia music @kyussworld
