SWIPE to reveal 👉🏽 NEW YORK, 1994 - It was early one morning, mid August when I was walking by a newsstand and saw the new September issue of Harpers - I was struck speechless by the cover. It branded a visual tattoo in my memory bank & fueled me beyond to become the working makeup artist I dreamed to be. I had moved to NY from NO with the aspiration to work with the talented makeup artist, Kevyn Aucoin and knew it was time to grow that NY backbone and get over my fear of rejection. One year later I did my first fashion week on Kevyn’s Team, and the journey truly began. We all have stories of our career and it’s important to never forget our challenges and appreciate our accomplishments - it fuels our passion for the next.
