Lovers 🌹 ➡️ For close-up & sketch Inspired by the beautiful, sensual and powerful movie « The handmaiden » by Park Chan-wook. 🎞 I wanted to put into the illustration everything this film made me feel when I watched it, and it was NOT easy. This piece was born out of artists block an lots of frustration, I probably spent 6 hours yesterday working on it non-stop trying to make it look and feel exactly like I wanted it to. Creating art is not always a flowing, easy and painless process. There are times where even if one has all the inspiration in the world, it just doesn’t « flow » when you sit down to work. After the struggle I managed to make this, which unexpectedly ended up being exactly what I wanted. I hope you like it too ❤️
