The way you go about delivering your price increase and the energy you put out will determine how your clients respond to it. I would say this when I owned my salon all the time. If you’re nervous, feel insecure, start apologizing, and don’t communicate from a space of conviction and confidence. Your clients will sense it and they will ... A. Start to question you and why you’re having an increase. B. Push back a bit because they can sense you’re uneasy about it. C. Play off your energy and feel like well since you’re unsure about it. I’m unsure about it too. This is why it’s so important to increase based on facts. Facts give you confidence. When you know your profit is way lower than it should be because you are operating on prices from 2018. It hits different. So be mindful of your approach. Whether you decide to communicate with your clients ahead of time. Or just increase them without notice. Stand tall in Decision. Be confident in the value you provide.
