A lot of people are asking me how did we do it!? How did we actually do the twin scenes - specifically - when you see Leni & Gina onscreen together...How did we do it? Well, it kinda went like this... Technically-speaking, we used a motion control camera so we could put both sisters in the same frame at the same time, during the editing phase. The filming process to achieve this was hard and required a lot of precision from all departments. See clip two for the win! BUT practically-speaking, I would start the scene as "Leni", for example, complete Leni’s side of the dialogue and then switch into "Gina"- wardrobe, hair & makeup (about an hour) - and then we’d film Gina’s side of the scene. Candidly speaking, it was mental gymnastics BUT I didn’t tackle the feat alone. I shared these scenes with a fellow actress that stood in, opposite me, and played each sister while I was playing the other. Her name is @adrianeppley and I want recognize her today for all the support she gave me through our wild #echoes process. While you may not see her face onscreen, Adrian was integral to my performances as Leni and Gina. 💯💯 She knew every line of dialogue, every stunt, every creative choice and intention I wanted to convey with each sister. She helped me shape these personas every step of the way. Not only did I come out of this experience with two fully-fledged characters, more importantly, I came out of it, with a friend for life. 👯‍♀️ Adrian, thank you for the dedication, patience, hugs, high fives, the pesky giggles, ALL the m&ms, ALL creative energy you brought to these role(s!) and the sheer personal camaraderie you showed me. 🥰 It was intimate and HARD and I’m so grateful I had you every step of the way. I love you!! #soulsisters #leniandgina #wcw
