This past weekend, our NextGen Junior Board had a volunteer day at the SPY Community Garden at @bblitarts. It was a great day where they helped to weed the orchard, clean garden beds and paint colorful bricks which will be used along the pathways and the day finished with fresh peaches harvested from THE garden. Lots of love for our NextGen Junior Board and their commitment to SPY and our youth members. Mary, SPY's Community Garden Liaison who helped facilitate the day, shared, "On this particular day at the garden, we had a former SPY youth member join us who has aged out of SPY and the NextGen members were working with them and offering to connect them with various services and organizations. This to me, is an amazing example of bringing the housed and unhoused community together.
