Knowing this number is not representative of the runners out there, I started to create covers for friends, family and anyone who felt the need to be seen and represented. Positive messages and support came in from all over the world from BIPOC, non-fit, non-athletic bodies asking to be the face of a magazine that wasn’t made for us. Still it’s refreshing to see.
