FEATURED: VBDA X WWD As a kid you could find me sprawled out on my grandmother’s den perusing the pages of fashion print outlets like VOGUE, BAZAAR, and probably even more peculiarly for an 8 year old, @wwd. So when I was contacted by Womens Wear Daily to share my experiences as a bridal stylist and the importance of bridal styling in today’s wedding climate, it was a moment I didn’t even know I needed. Have we truly come this far?? To this day it can be challenging explaining the depths of the work we do for the brides we serve but it feels great to see the role of the stylist become more recognized in the eyes of wedding vendors, fashion media, and brides alike. Because what a couple wears is truly in the centerpiece of this highly anticipated day. It inspires and times together so much of the amazing work that the photographers, designers, and beauty artists. So having a stylist taking care of every detail necessary to execute a look that not only complements the event but allows the couple to feel as confident and comfortable as possible for their special moment is honestly priceless.
