Did you know the US is one of the only countries in the world without a national paid leave policy? It's Women's Equality Day and I'm proud to be part of the push for #PaidLeaveForAll. Here are a few things to note: ✔️Paid leave increases recruitment, retention, productivity, and morale. It is also associated with higher profits. ✔️2/3 of small business owners support a national paid leave policy. ✔️More than 5 million women lost their jobs since the pandemic, largely due to caregiving needs; women of color face the greatest losses. ✔️Women voters want paid leave. 94% of Democratic women, 71% of Independent women, 61% of Republican women in battleground states want paid leave for all. Don't even get me started on how shameful the post-partum care is for mother's. It's non-existent. So for now, all I'll say is this paid leave for all is better for kids and families and people who need care! And for the people make the tiny humans and who give care!
