a custom pair of clouds in w/ an ace flag color scheme 🖤💜🖤 • these past few months have been a pretty big struggle for me, mental health wise. Truth be told, the pressure of having so many eyes on my art got to me. I was starting to make art to one-up myself instead of making art because I love it. The numbers, the views, the analytics, the loss of followers all got to my head. I let statistics define my worth as an artist, my worth as a person, and my place in the art community. Allowing the numbers to influence me made me feel like a failure because every lost follower was someone saying my art wasn’t good enough anymore. Over the course of the last month I’ve spent a lot of time putting in the internal work to get back to a place where I can create without expectations. It feels really good to be back in a healthier head space and creating pieces that bring me joy. If you’re experiencing something similar, my heart goes out to you. It’s not easy.
