This lateral lunge variation is one of my favorites in that induces stability and balance on a single leg which is beneficial across the board for many athletes. We often forget that we are capable of moving in many planes of motion and we, in our normalcy, tend to go forwards in movement and that’s about it. Adding in this movement into your training as an athlete or normal individual will allow for you to perform activities in a much better way.

To regress the exercise perform it on an even surface not elevated and bound without a med ball in hand. Try it at home and see your performance increase!
