Such a sweet way to celebrate love and raise funds for childhood cancer research! 🍋 In the summer of 2004, ten-year-old Courtney Smith and her friends hosted lemonade stands each week, resulting in shoeboxes filled with thousands of dollars. Their 4th of July stand, the busiest of the summer, even hosted some special guests: Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s (ALSF) founder Alex Scott and her family! Inspired by Alex, Courtney and her friends went on to raise more than $35,000 for the foundation, and Courtney has been a longtime supporter ever since. This summer, Courtney continued to give back to the Foundation when she and her fiancé had a lemon-themed wedding shower that doubled as a fundraiser for ALSF. Guests showered the couple in love and were invited to donate to ALSF. Team Alex is sending a big congratulations to Courtney and Jon! 💛
