Villa Zlatorog was built in 1896. It was built on the order of the rich german merchant Alfred Muhr. It got its name from one of the most recognizable symbols of the Slovenian nation and the protector of nature, the wild white goat with golden horns. Today, Villa Zlatorog is a protocol building intended for the activities of the state summit and is listed as a protected building of Slovenia.
