I’ve been chatting away with lots of potential 2023 couples lately! I love getting couples on the phone or video to discuss wedding plans before they officially bring me on as their photographer. My reason for this is so I can hear the excitement in their voice, ask questions about their day to see how I can best help them and get to know each other. Plus it takes our relationship off of email and IRL! It is SO important to get along with the person who’s going to be taking photos of you all day. HOT TAKE but it’s almost more important than what the photos actually end up looking like in some cases! Are lots of photographers capable of showing up and taking high quality wedding photos? Yes. Are they all going to mesh with you, your guests and creative team? Not all of them.
