We all want to forget 2020, but looking at some photos from this year I saw such a wide mosaic of events and experiences that changed me and the people I love, and tested my mettle. I think we can all relate. On March 14 @leahsnow17 and I escaped NYC in forecast of the darkest days of 2020 and went to my family’s cabin upstate. After a two week quarantine there we joined my family in Syracuse. Once there, my grandfather passed away after battling a long Illness. It was an extra hard time to comfort family being early covid lockdown. I took to some projects in my father’s garage to pass some time and make something tangible. It got me out of bed each day with some excitement. I worked with @leahsnow17 and my dad on these creative outlets, and learned a lot of new skills in the wood shop from my old man. We took a stab at epoxy tables and birdhouses, etc. It was an extended experience that I would likely never have done in normal circumstances. In May, we headed back to NYC. It looks different and so did my freelance work, but we adapted and shot still life in the apartment, or whatever we could until we could get back on a photo set. We bought a #Vespa to get around (her name is Dita, and was the best purchase of 2020) Adapt, adjust, and improvise. This is just how it is now. Nothing will surprise us now. God speed into 2021. Sending love to all and into the universe 💫
