Paris Photo✨Boris Mikhaïlov We had the honor to receive French Minister of Culture @rima.abdulmalak today on our booth at @parisphotofair 📸 In February 2014, Boris and Vita Mikhaïlov went to Maidan Square in Kiev, theater of the confrontation between pro-European and pro-Russian demonstrators. The photographs recall the epic canvases made by Russian realist painters in the late nineteenth century. "I think it might have been more accurate to title this series Premonition of War, as in Salvador Dali’s famous painting. The bonfires, the colours, the lights, the peoplebsitting there exhausted – everything created a general feeling of tension.
