So.... Mindful eating is a practice that helps us UNCOVER, UNLEARN, AND UNLEASH undesired behaviors. By slowing down, using all of your senses, and paying attention, mindful eating can help you UNCOVER the reasons why you eat what you eat when you eat it UNLEARN undesired eating behaviors (what is undesired for one person may not be for another- this is subjective.) UNLEASH the potential to have a good relationship with food, food systems, and your whole self. This is a mindfulness practices. It can be meditative, calming and increase enjoyment of life beyond the plate. What typically happens is that you become more aware of hunger and fullness and how different foods affect your energy, rest, and even your mood. You are then equipped with information to make the decisions about eating that make the most sense for you and your well-being.
