In many ways, Marina Fleck held me together. She was one of the very few people, maybe even the only person, I told absolutely everything. A month ago, she finally found peace after a grueling three-year, nine-month battle with cancer. Instead of flowers at her funeral service, she requested that her friends and family donate in her name to the National Cancer Institute Gift Fund or sign up to become a bone marrow donor (https://bethematch.org) to help those battling leukemia and other cancers. To honor her memory and make sure her wishes are fulfilled, I’ve set up a GoFundMe page to make it easier for her loved ones to send money to the NCI. Currently, the organization only takes donations by mail. The page will be live for a month. Any funds collected from now until February 11 will be sent to the NCI in a trackable way to ensure they receive the total amount safely. Please see the link in my bio for further information.
