I will built my path as strong as the city I fell in love with.! NYC is known as the city that never sleeps, the land of opportunities, the rush, the noise & diversity. All the things I had to adapt myself with in order to live here, while keeping my mental health in check. Coming from ten little islands off the West Coast of Africa (Cabo Verde) all these things were new to me. I started becoming anxious and depressed due to everything, honestly (not being able to be deeply connected with nature, missing my friends and family, worrying about competition). YOU ARE YOUR OWN COMPETITION! When I realized that, I took small steps towards achieving the mental peace I needed in order to find my true self in this journey. So take a moment for yourself.
