Organ meats like liver are one of the most nutrient dense foods available. They’re rich in B-vitamins, minerals like iron, magnesium, selenium and zinc, and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). However, I know it can be hard or even off-putting for some people to consume liver, especially if you didn’t grow up eating it. So here are my top 3 ways for eating more liver.
1️⃣ The simplest way to consume organic beef liver is in capsule form. Investing in a good quality brand like @cellsquared is a great option if you’re just dipping your toes into consuming organ meats, or if you don’t have access to fresh organic liver, and / or you prefer the convenience of taking liver capsules.
2️⃣ Sprinkle a few liver capsules or powder into smoothies before blending. I have found that 3 capsules of beef liver is the sweet spot for not being able to taste it, but you’re welcome and encouraged to add more (or start with less).
3️⃣ You can also add liver powder into meals. I often sprinkle @cellsquared ‘s organic liver powder into dishes like spaghetti, meatballs, beef stew and curries for a nutrient boost.
Whatever way you do it, start incorporating liver into your diet and see a huge boost in your energy and overall well being.
