The precious scents and the haptic sensation of touching fine woods, crystal glass and silk lingerie will leave us longing for long lost memories, of childhood, of youth, and of events that occurred at this place before our time: In the hotel room, the exemplary Foucaultian heterotopia, we find the overlapping of different dimensions of time evoking vague ideas of long lost pleasures and allowing us entry to sensual melancholia and the lost art of elegance.
