This artwork of light is created by Hoa Nguyen and it changes year to year. It’s become a Dorchester landmark of its own, especially during the holidays. • The house itself was built around 1884. When built, it mirrored another home on the property that has since been demolished. Adams street was and is a main road in Dorchester that linked Fields Corner with Adams Village and Lower Mills. These areas are some of Boston’s oldest settlements with homes remaining from the 1700s. Walking the street shows the expansion of Dorchester as a Streetcar Suburb.
