Opening today at PATRON Gallery - Caroline Kent: Space Shadow Script, an exhibition showcasing new paintings within an immersive environment by Caroline Kent, responding to the architectural character of the galleries through a series of gestures that combine wall paintings and chromatic compositions. In Space Shadow Script, Kent invokes the architectural floor plans of traditional Mexican homes with modernist influences and adaptations. Here she imagines domestic spaces as sites of encoded exchange. This exhibition includes large-scale details from floor plans painted directly onto the walls, as well as new paintings on Belgian linen and site-specific sculptures.
