Wow, thank you @jayrayner @obsmagazine @guardian ❤️ A huge well done to the entire team @manteca_london. And a special well done to @thisisleachy. He’s not one to ever quite take the credit but this really is his fine work. Chris and I got to know each other some six years ago. Numerous projects, on and off the table. For every one that comes off the ground there are usually half a dozen ‘pipe-dreams’ and potential sites that never make it to reality but for all the right reasons... in hindsight at least! Rewind three years, Chris had this Italian-esque project in mind. He’d been super supportive of @smokestakuk and numerous ‘pipe-dreams’ that I was only too happy to return the favour in helping him get this project off the ground and essentially help build ‘his stage’. As his Mum once told me, “he’s not the most forthcoming” and f*** me was she right! So little did I know we would become partners. But also a friend that I’m super proud to work so closely alongside. To help build the stage of which he is up front and centre. The rest is history as they say... Bravo Chris, chuffed for you my man ❤️
