We’re so grateful for your excitement, patience, and support. Every kind word, visit, and minute spent in line inspires us to keep creating thoughtful coffee and pastry pairings.
As we open this new chapter at Milli, we’re especially proud to share our pastry program; built with the same care, seasonality, and curiosity that guide our coffee.
At its heart is our canelé. This pastry took shape in Bordeaux, when nuns used surplus egg yolks from local vintners. Rum and vanilla were later added through the violent colonization and trade routes of the Caribbean Antilles. At Milli, we choose to omit vanilla, allowing cultured butter to carry the toasted oak, molasses, and tobacco notes found in Jamaican and Barbadian rum. The result pairs beautifully with our current drip offering; Ethiopia Gerba Dogo Sodu, a washed coffee produced by Shonora who works with over 150 smallholder farmers across Guji.
