Recent meals at Home 💓 In my 20’s I absolutely hated cooking, in my 30’s cooking for my family has become so much more than just cooking. It’s become a sort of meditation for me. Meditation can certainly be sitting or lying down quietly and being present by body scanning , breathing or following a guided meditation but it can also be your way of doing something that gives you peace while keeping your mind focused on a task that is easy and flows with your energy. Something that keeps you away from the craziness of the world today including taking a break from your phone/social. For me it gives me meaning becoming I know it will bring my busy family together even if it’s for 15 minutes, I know that I will feed them good food that’s good for them and I know that it will keep my family grounded and closer together. Consistency and providing a stable home with some routines are the corner stones of raising mentally strong kids . What’s something that you do at least 3 times a week that feeds your soul?
