🌴This week we moved this resident Aloeidendron out to our Aloe corner from our front window. It’s easy to overlook Aloe as simply one species, but there are about 400 species in the genus and thousands of hybrids. Some so tiny you hardly notice them and others growing as trees 60’ tall. This one was a little cutting Coby and I picked up in 2020 while on an orchid trip in Encinitas. Because of our hot summer nights it can’t live outdoors during a Phoenix summer. You’ll also start to notice over the next few weeks that we’re going to be adding signs for quite a few of the specimens we have planted/growing around + a few about gardening, climate, recycling water and our region overall.
