The @stringking Mark 3V release can be described in 1 sentence: the little things are what matter the most. The 2V was so popular that you couldn’t just completely redesign the head. You needed to keep all the things players loved and improve on the few weaknesses! So here’s what I’ve come up with as my top 3 improvements: 1. STIFFNESS: the biggest weakness of the 2V was the stiffness and being prone to warping. The head was extremely popular but wasn’t holding up for the bruiser style midfielders. This issue has now been erased with the 3V. It’s much much stiffer but not too stiff. Yes too stiff is a bad thing. When the head is too stiff it doesn’t flex enough and when it doesn’t flex enough the plastic breaks. We’ve seen issues with this problem hurt many other head releases. StringKing was smart to find a perfect happy medium! 2. NEW LOCKING SCREW: this may not seem like a big deal to many people, but as someone who has had to remove StringKing heads and put them back on, THIS IS A HUGE DEAL. No more fighting to find the bolt for the screw to fit in. The new pointed screw makes attaching StringKing heads effortless. 3. NEW SCOOP: one of the best features of the 2V was the scoop. The angle was amazing for ground balls and made them effortless. The 3V is no different however I think it’s improved. The angle is either the same or slightly improved which will make ground balls just as easy if not easier! They also added 4 topstring holes which is great for professional stringers and allows us unlimited topstring options. Final thoughts: It’s a 10/10 for me. Releasing a new head after 7 years is extremely difficult because it has to be perfect.
