I’ve been thinking about and being reminded on Tim (Timothy Leary) a lot lately...I wish I had more photos from that time, I certainly have some fantastic memories! Tim became mine and Caresse’s godfather late in his life. Given his age and health, the title was more ceremonial and love based than traditional. He was so dear to us! Some of my fondest childhood memories are with him and staying at his Beverly Hills home with its revolving door of characters always stoping by, most of whom I learned when I was a bit older were quite famous. Tim’s home became our second home immediately. Tim and my dad bonded deeply over the shared experience of being exiled, on the run, misunderstood and misrepresented. They loved diving deep and having long philosophical discussions. Much like my dad, Tim always listened to us (myself & Caresse) and spoke to us as equals, eager to know our thoughts on whatever topic might be being discussed. I really appreciated that quality as a child. I also really appreciated Tim’s enthusiastic amusement at my cheeky little prankster side too!
