This #MentalHealthMonday is for anyone who believes in Disney Magic. I’ve been hearing this a lot lately, “the Magic is gone” so I thought I’d share a personal story... This is a picture of me in preschool wearing my favorite Alice in Wonderland dress. I grew up in Orlando, FL and my Dad was a Disney Cast Member. I grew up Disney and I was surrounded by “Disney Magic.” As I grew older, I became a Disney cast member myself because I wanted to help make magic for other guests and fans just like me. I began to understand what Disney Magic actually was. While people help make the Magic...a person cannot take it away. Disney Magic is like the Force. It’s an energy, a feeling, a belief, a wish, a hope, a dream in your heart. No one can take it away from you, only YOU can stop believing in it and take it away from yourself. As I got even older, I’ve seen the dark side of my business. At times, my soul has been crushed and people have disappointed me beyond comprehension to the point where I’ve wanted to just walk away from everything and never come back. Why am I sharing this? Well, Disney Magic is what brings me SO much joy. It’s important to my mental health. I made a vow to myself that I would NEVER allow another person’s actions to take away my love, my joy, my belief in Disney Magic. That’s mine ✨✨✨ Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the bad, the frustration, this disappointment, the sadness and we lose sight of the Magic. It’s still there. Ask yourself, what does Disney Magic mean to you? Then look for it, find it and protect it. #DisneyMagic
