Deadly Dust Storm Six people have died after a dust storm fueled by wind gusts topping 60 miles per hour caused a 21-vehicle pileup Friday evening on Interstate 90 in Montana, authorities said. (July 16) For some the storm was unavoidable. If you have to commute you should be prepared. Here’s what you must carry: First Aid: stop the bleed/TQ and upgrade to life-saving equipment pertinent to vehicle injuries like burn bandages and splints. Fuel: carry additional fuel in rotopax or jerry cans if possible. Your vehicle is a mobile generator and shelter. Your fuel is your lifeline when stranded. Survival: have the ability to maintain your core body temperature by starting a fire, space blankets, bivy sacks, etc. Maintenance/Recovery: snow chains, tire repair, tow strap and shackles, tools. Food: Having the ability to store snacks like @anthemsnacks will increase morale and give you a source of protein. Loadout: use load-bearing packs like @kifaru_intl and @eberlestock in conjunction with our mobility loadout system-check the link in the profile for available options from us. What are we missing?
