Deadly Dust Storm Six people have died after a dust storm fueled by wind gusts topping 60 miles per hour caused a 21-vehicle pileup Friday evening on Interstate 90 in Montana, authorities said. Here’s what you must carry: First Aid: stop the bleed/TQ and upgrade to life-saving equipment pertinent to vehicle injuries like burn bandages and splints. Fuel: carry additional fuel in rotopax or jerry cans if possible. Your vehicle is a mobile generator and shelter. Your fuel is your lifeline when stranded. Survival: have the ability to maintain your core body temperature by starting a fire, space blankets, bivy sacks, etc. Maintenance/Recovery: snow chains, tire repair, tow strap and shackles, tools.
