Yesterday we got word that a home near our Rescue Ranch in Texas had caught on fire and exploded - and there were dogs on the property in urgent need of help. We rushed out in the 106 degree heat and found complete devastation. 1 person and over 40 dogs had lost their lives in the blaze. But there were still 12 dogs loose on the property who we could save. Even though our Rescue Ranch was full in preparation for a large transport this week, we knew we had to make space. These dogs are now safely resting and recovering with us and getting the medical care they need. One dog in particular is unable to use his back legs and will be getting a neurological consult so we can figure out how to best help him.
