I am thrilled to finally share « Monuments »’ new chapter: GRAVITY FLOW (2022) When air becomes solid, and melting ice turns into glass. The project is a site-specific installation, lasting for one year, placed on the peak of Muottas Muragl, Engadine (alt. 2450m) and composed of 5 sculptures made of recycled glass. From 3D scanning cavities below the Rhone Gletscher, with the support of ETH/Zürich, La Prairie, and the intense work in glass foundry, it has been an incredible journey. The installation invites to a meditative reflection on the balance between permanency and fragility in our current times, from ecosystems to global changes. More informations under the link in bio. The list of people making this happen is endless. Thank you before all @celiabouvy and Prof. Daniel Farinotti / ETH 3D scan: @scanvision Film: @romluss Glass and development: Glassworks, merci @matteogonet et @quentin_glass Project management: @gaetaniannone & @chaberbeck Handling: Fuorma Local team: Armon Goldy, Markus Meili Assistants: @aliisanna Drone: @phil.z.phil Made possible through the support of @laprairie To be enjoyed best at sunset.
