True, most Cuervo-made tequila is mass-produced and quality suffers correspondingly. But their Reserva de la Familia line is very solid. Today, we reviewed the Extra Añejo and it’s tasty, for sure. It runs about $160 and comes in a cool, artist-created box (new box each year of production). Aged 3-5 years in a combo of American and French oak, and then they add some dosage of super old Cuervo Reserva tequila from the library, to round it out. Leather + sugarplum on this one, and we both liked it.
