I was deep in the flow-state for this issue of RHIZO magazine!! This is also a deeply personal issue for me, and have loved opening up in new ways. First up is the cover - I got to made some badass still life images of the mycology work of Harold Hensen. My experience with 🍄 has totally opened me up to new ways of being & seeing, I loved working so closely with these sacred and healing plants, and I think these images do them justice! I wrote my first poem...ever! About breastfeeding, and love the still-life I shot to accompany my poem. The inside pages are filled with a magnificent spread of @laurendanasmithart in convo with @suehunt_ - I LOVE her work, and their conversation is not to be missed, very inspiring. Lastly, my sister the beekeeper! I got to photographer Sue tending to her hive for her piece (also the back cover) - the hum of the hive was so intense, and so cool to witness.
