BAD LUCK. When I was a full time ballerina, I felt like I was in a tunnel. I had tunnel vision and I was zoomed into myself, and my self obsession. Since I have begun to zoom out from that experience, my life feels more and more enriched. Sometimes learning more about the world can be scary so it’s easy to hide in self obsession or denial. I thought optimism was stupid. I had no understanding of “stop and smell the roses” 🥀I thought I didn’t deserve the pain I was in. But it is those bad moments that have taught me the greatest lessons of all. This story resonates with me now that I can see that it wasn’t all for worse or for better. It all made me who I am now.. and I like that person better than the one who couldn’t see. What might feel like bad luck now, may be good luck someday...Even though this moment in history feels so scary, I can still see that the darkest of times have always cultivated the biggest changes.
