Art-in-Transit with Bill Miller: Our friend phenomenal artist Bill Miller (@billmillerart) gives a glimpse into his exhibit opening at the amazing dieFirma (@diefirma.nyc) later today Thursday, October 20th! Here, Bill shares about his domestic tableaus which use linoleum salvaged from the abandoned homes in the blue-collar community he grew up in and where he lives and works currently. Bill uses the linoleum’s factory-made surface as his palette – the variety of which speaks to the expansive vision of mid-century American design. His process begins with cutting and gluing his found material into complex collages and ends with creating new allegories from the myth of middle America.
