I ran a race in the Northwoods of Wisconsin this weekend! While it wasn't a great race for me, it was so great to experience this Midwest region again with some Fall foliage and see Lake Superior with a bit better visibility than earlier this year. The last time I was up here by the Great Lakes was to support @alexfalconrt for his epic Boundary Waters traverse to @savethebwca from the proposed copper ore mine that threatens the watershed, wildlife, and communities that rely on it for jobs, recreation, and sustenance. While here, I'm also reminded of the @stopline3pipeline protests and continual fight against the expansion of the Line 3 pipeline that would run through tribal territories, many of those recognized as Anishinaabe and threatens communities from Canada to Superior, Wisconsin.
