It’s hard to put into words experiences like these. I’m so grateful for people in my life who are down to do new things, go out on a whim, and roll with the punches.
We drove out to Pahrump with the dirt bikes after work, unloaded, and raced the sun with hiking backpacks filled to the brim for some motorcycle camping in the most unique way I’ve experienced yet. We stumbled upon a cave and slot canyon already set-up with a campfire, kindling and a piece of wood right as the sun left sight (100% not the plan). But it felt like it was made for us. So, we unpacked, set up the tent, fired up the jet boil and had stories, soup, and a fire to bring us back to life.
This morning, we left everything behind in the canyon with the trust in the universe, and went for a rip up Wheeler Pass. I want to give the utmost respect and celebration to @321gaux, who absolutely crushed her first time on the dirt bike. She was thrown into the fire, and in true Margaux fashion, prevailed. Loose rocks, big ass rocks, hillclimbing, elevation, heat, and a kick only bike - yeah, she ran it.
We climbed to the peak at 7,700 ft, took a few wrong turns to get back, minimal diggers. It was one for the books.
All of this adventure and we were back home soaking in less than 24 hours. This is another reminder to make the days count. Make room for your friends, make room for listening, make room for random adventures, make room for trying the uncomfortable. They make the best memories 🙂❤️
Thank you, @_brandi_moya & @321gaux for always being down for the ride.
