Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) I was introduced to PBT 5 years ago and was lucky to have been trained by founder Marie Walton Mahon herself! This past weekend I proudly completed my level 3 training! For those who are unfamiliar, Progressing Ballet Technique is a body conditioning and strengthening program that uses ballet-technique specific exercises to enhance student’s technique and help them prevent injury. PBT is beneficial for dancers of all ages and levels, and focuses on core strength, weight placement, and alignment of the body. We work with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetition of these exercises to trigger muscle memory, and enhance the ability of each athlete to perform at their best.
