We remember our relatives whose lives were taken, murdered in the snow, during the Wounded Knee Massacre of 1890. The history of the United States time and time again reflects the racism that seeps into society today. Our governments and schools must not forget the generations of harm this caused the Lakota, the land, and Native peoples across the continent.
