ON VIEW | Jaume Plensa: La Lumière Veille (The Veil Light) is now up through September 25 at the Musée Picasso in Antibes. Featuring both sculpture and drawing, the exhibition brings together 90 works created between 1982 and 2022, spanning stainless steel, graphite, charcoal, and ink. Timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the artist’s landmark sculpture, Nomade, 2010, on the terrace of the bastion Saint Jaume, the exhibition provides intimate insight into how Plensa's drawings relate to his large-scale public installations. Regarding the medium as a place for experimental freedom, Plensa's explains, "Drawing is an incredible laboratory where you can develop intuitions. I feel much more free than when I am working with sculpture."
