Athleta asked for a woman/ women who know the importance of protecting the planet- who know how much nature can soothe, heal, inspire, and ground us. Women who align with the brand and inspire others to tap into the power of community, the power of their bodies, the power of the planet. In 1997 I took a few close friends to Costa Rica for a little vacation and to learn how to surf. I am, and have always been happiest in water and most at home in nature. Carolyn came on that trip. A fellow fish who enjoyed walking around barefoot to feel the earth and the freeing of the soul. She actually ended up not getting back on the plane with the rest of us and staying with feet on sand.
