This month is Hispanic Heritage Month, and as such, our agency would like to use this as an opportunity to showcase our Hispanic artists. Makeup artist @luiscascomakeup created the following looks and discusses: “I left my native country of El Salvador when I was 15 years old and since then have lived and/or worked in about 25 different countries. My career in makeup forged itself in Paris when I moved there to try my luck as a Fashion Designer. Without knowing any other language besides Spanish, I was able to begin my career by working in the Paris Couture shows. I was able to use makeup as my way to communicate with others. To me, makeup is a tool that anyone can use to tell a story - no matter what language you speak, and its power can’t be underestimated. It can say Punk one day and Romantic the other-without saying a word. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, I would like to encourage anyone- specially Latinos who are considering a career in the Fashion/Entertainment industry to follow your dreams- keep focused and go for it. Remember your talent will speak for itself! And as cliché as it sounds if I could do it- so can you 😊 Feliz mes de la Herencia Hispana!”
